There are no life coaching degrees available, so to practice this as a career, you simply need to enrol in life coach courses. You can take life coaching classes online since they are theory based instead of requiring hands on practice.

Other classes you can expect to study in your life coaching program include business sense, attracting customers, how to conduct strong coaching sessions and methods of coaching. Most courses are about 6 months until you can become certified.

Life coaching courses do offer life coach certification, but in fact that is simply a title to confirm that you have completed the program. In fact there is no official certification for life coaching, and no government educational requirements to start doing it on your own.

It is more attractive to clients when you have gone through training, but many people do it on their own, with simply the right attitude and words of encouragement to manage their clients.

Life coaching is a fairly new endeavor, so many people are sceptical or hesitant to work with one. It is growing in popularity though, and those who are well trained and have an established customer database can earn over $100,000 a year. Most life coaches will earn an average salary of $30,000-$40,000 and if not trained, under $30,000. Therefore to be successful in this business, life coaching courses can make the difference between struggling financially and living the high life.
